DEATH OF MRS. BERGER
Mrs. Elizabeth Berger died at Yale, Saturday, February 5, 1921. The body was brought to Stillwater on the morning train Tuesday and the funeral services conducted at the United Brethren church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Interment was made in Fairlawn cemetery.
Mrs. Berger was one of the oldest residents of Stillwater, having lived in her small home on South Main street for many years. She had gone to visit a son, Steve Burger, in Yale, a few days ago when she was suddenly stricken.
Elizabeth Shook was born in Jackson county, Illinois, November 26, 1837; died at the home of her son, two miles west of Yale, Oklahoma, February 6, 1921. Was married to Henry White in 1857. To this union three children were born: one son, now living at Lexington, Missouri. Her first husband died in 1864. In 1867 she was married to Achilles Berger, and to them two children were born, Clara Berger Chambers, of Ackman, Colorado, and Stephen D., of Yale. With her husband and son she came to Stillwater one year after the opening where she has since lived.
