He lived in California since 1908 and has been employed as an insurance adjuster by the United Pacific Insurance Company. He lived in Bakersfield for the past eight years. Mr. Rice has been active in Boy Scout work, and was scoutmaster of Troop No. 18. The senior group of his troop will take part in the funeral services. The deceased leaves a widow, Mary.
