Knud Knudsen Found Dead On Couch At His Home
Knud Knudson, 75, retired town of Gibson farmer, was found dead in his
home on Denmark Star route today by Mrs. Mable Soukup, whose husband,
Ralph, rents Knudson's land. Dr. Gerald Rau, coroner, and Sheriff Norman
Berkedal said death was due to natural causes.
Mrs. Soukup, who called at Knudson's home every morning, found him dead
on a couch in the kitchen. She found him at about 9 a.m. Dr. Rau said he
had been dead for about 10 hours.
Mr. Knudson returned to his home in Gibson about a week ago, after visiting
a son in Madison. He became homesick in Madison and insisted upon returning
here "to die," Sheriff Berkedal said. The son, Adolph Knudson, has been
notified.
The body has been removed to the Knutsen funeral home at Denmark. Funeral
services will probably be held Friday, from the Jambo Creek Lutheran Church.
