LOCAL BOY IS DEAD FROM FLU AT CHICAGO
Body of Archie Peterson to Be Buried at Gibson
Messages received here last evening announced the death of Archie
Peterson, son of Mrs. Carolina Peterson of this city, at Chicago
where he had been for some time receiving treatment. The body will
be shipped here and will arrive Thursday morning and the funeral
will be held at Gibson Thursday afternoon. The death of Mr. Peterson,
who was 20 years of age, resulted from effects of the flu from which
he suffered last fall and had never recovered. He was forced to give
up his position at the Aluminum Goods Co. plant in this city and had
gone to Chicago in hope of finding relief. Mr. Peterson was a graduate
of the high school in this city and of the Manitowoc Business College.
He is survived by his mother, three brothers, Walter and George, this
city and Oscar of Thorpe, Wis., and five sisters, Mrs. Matthew Heiser,
this city, Mrs. Wm. Hendries, Mrs. Peter Wall, Chicago, Mrs. G. DeCavit,
Detroit and Mrs. Lief Johnson this city.
