Mrs. Ralph Peterson, 81, until last September a resident of Manitowoc,
died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. J. Wall,
Chicago.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at two o'clock from the First
Lutheran church, the Rev. D. G. Ristad officiating. Burial will be in
the Jambo Creek cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson, whose maiden name was Caroline Peterson, was born at Gibson
in 1855 and was married to Ralph Peterson 62 years ago. They located on a
farm in Gibson. Mr. Peterson died 35 years ago and five years later Mrs.
Peterson came to this city to reside with her children.
Last September Mrs. Peterson left for Chicago to visit with her daughter,
Mrs. Wall.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Matt Heiser, city, Mrs. William Hendries
and Mrs. P. J. Wall, Chicago, Mrs. George Decavit, Detroit, Mrs. Lief Johnson,
Marinette; three sons, Walter, Oscar and George, all of this city; 10 grand-
children and three great-grandchildren.
The body will reach Manitowoc from Chicago tonight and may be viewed at the
funeral home from Tuesday noon until the hour of the services.
