Peryl G. Ogden, 79, Groton, died at her home Friday, Aug. 17, 1990.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller-Huebl Funeral Home, 1111 S. Main St. The Rev. Mark Phillips will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.

The family is requested to meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Closed casket visitation will be from 8 a.m. today until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Peryl G. Russell was born Nov. 20, 1910, at rural Ordway to Larry and Kate (Howell) Russell. She grew up in the Ordway and Columbia areas. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1927.

She married William F. Ogden on July 4, 1931, at Webster. They lived in Arizona and Missouri. They returned to Ordway in 1936. She worked for J.C. Penney Co. in the advertising department for a time. She later became manager of the S & H Green Stamp Store until 1961, when she retired. She moved to Groton in 1978.

She was a member of League of Women Voters and very active in Zonta, Prairie Players and Business and Professional Women.

Survivors include one son, Bruce Ogden of Aberdeen; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Shirley) Shanley of Mansfield and Sue Peterson of Aberdeen; one brother, Richard L. Russell of Aberdeen; one sister, Mrs. George (Kay) Black of San Antonio, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Casketbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey Peterson of Omaha, Neb., William, Jerrold and Scott Ogden, David and Steven Shanley, all of Aberdeen.

Organist will be Jude Borgesen, and the congregation will sing.
