Survived by loving wife 37 years, Ellen; children, John Byrne and Katie (Steven) Lund; grandchildren, Eli, Christopher, Jalynn and Andrew; brothers, Leo II (Delores) and Tim (Lori); many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Leo Sr. and Rosemary; and sister, Sera Byrne.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Mass of Resurrection 10 AM Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Church of the Epiphany, 111th & Hanson Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church and 5-8 PM Tuesday, Oct. 16 at: Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd.
