Hubert Harrison Howard, 84, of Harrison, TN, went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 18, 2013.
He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Hubert was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Harrison Lodge #114 and retired from DuPont after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Alice Howard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jo Howard; three sons, Brian (Tina Harrison) Howard, of Harrison, TN, Steve (Brooke) Howard, of Hurley, VA, and Scott (Cindy) Howard, of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Horace Howard, of Rossville, GA; one granddaughter, Alex Howard; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ken Clark and Dalton Roberts officiating.
Internment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association @ P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home Inc., Highway 58 Chapel, Chattanooga, TN.
