Lori March
Birth: Mar. 6, 1923
Hollywood
Los Angeles County
California, USA
Death: Mar. 19, 2013

Actress. She will perhaps be best remembered for playing Valerie Hill Ames Northcoate in the long-running TV serial "Secret Storm" (1964 to 1974). Born Lori Von Eltz, her mother Peggy Prior was a screenwriter during the 1920s, her stepfather Joseph Moncure March penned numerous scripts during the 1930s and 1940s, Lori was adopted by him and took his last name March. After being raised within the shadows of Hollywood, she graduated from Beverly Hills High School and moved to New York to pursue a career in entertainment. She had already initiated stage experience when she met and married voice artist Alexander Scourby (whom she remained with until his death in 1985). She left the industry for a number of years in order to begin her family and in 1952, she launched what was to become an extensive association with television. She accumulated scores of credits on numerous popular programs including a 1959 episode of "The Twilight Zone" titled "Third from the Sun". In addition to "Secret Storm", she had recurring roles in the soap operas "Search for Tomorrow", "One Live to Live", "The Edge of Night", "Another Life" and "Guiding Light". She appeared on the Broadway stage in the revival of "Cyrano de Bergerac" (1953). (bio by: C.S.)
