Pfc. U.S. Marine Corps, {MC2323953}, Vietnam War-Pfc. Frencl was killed in action by an explosive device on 2-26-1969 while serving as a Rifleman {0311} with Co. K of the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. Pfc. Frencl started his tour of Vietnam on July 25, 1968.

He is the son of Mr. James C. & Mrs. Mary L. {Zolper} Frencl of 4856 South Linder Avenue, Stickney, Illinois, and he enlisted with the Marines in Chicago on 12-2-1966.

He does leave one other brother, Peter J. Frencl, and two sisters, Miss Pamela J., and Miss Jamey S. Frencl of Stickney.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.
