Fred Carl Johnsen, 76, of 114 N. Gunnison, died at 8 a.m. Sunday at University Hospital, Iowa City, after an extendd illness.
He was born Jan 5, 1881, in Burlington, the son of Nels and Catherine Johnsen and was married to Ida Steiger in Burlington, on Aug. 2, 1926.
Johnsen was a retired storehouse man. He had worked 26 years with the CB&Q railroad. He was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are his wife; two children by a former marriage, Mrs. Russell K Fouts and Paul F Johnsen, both of Burlington; two
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh''s chapel, with the Rev. G. A. Saathoff officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
