Services Monday For H.C. Ramsey
Services were held at the Eakly Methodist church Monday at 3:00 p.m. for H.C. Ramsey, who died at his home four miles north of Alfalfa late Sunday night. He had been in poor health for a long time and was 79 years, 4 months and 2 days old at the time of his death. Rev. L.W. Skaggs, assisted by Rev. E.F. Heusel and Rev. Brown conducted the services. Burial was in the Fairview cemetery.
Mr. Ramsey was formerly in business in Colony and at one time was publisher of a newspaper at Corn.
Howard C. Ramsey was born at Ramsey, Indiana, Sept. 17, 1863. He was united in marriage with Lizzie Shoonover Dec. 19, 1906. She died several years ago. On Sept. 6, 1926 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Pearl Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Ramsey, a son, Albert L. Ramsey, Manilla, P.I., and eight step-children, as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was converted in early manhood and united with the Methodist church and was known as a consecrated Christian and a loyal citizen and neighbor.
