Harold S. Wittmayer, son of the late Harry E. and Edythe (Lanz) Wittmayer, was born January 7, 1932 on the family farm home South of Fredonia, ND. He attended rural school and Kulm High School where he received his education. On May 11, 1952 Harold was united in marriage with Gladys Weisenburger, daughter of Emanuel & Thusanelda Weisenburger who was born November 6, 1933 in the Eureka Hospital. Three sons were born to this union: Harold Gust, Kevin Jay and Timothy James. Harold and Gladys own and operated his father's and grandfather's farm located a few miles West of Fredonia, ND. Harold was elected Logan County Commissioner in 1978 for one term.
