Larry Wavel "Tuna" Davis, age 66 of Luther, Michigan passed away Thursday March 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was born October 31, 1946 in Jacksonville, Alabama to Vilas Jackson Davis and Buna Irene Couch and was raised in Utica.
On June 21, 1986 he was married in Lapeer County to Bella Dawn Nutter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, loved to talk and have a good time. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Bella Dawn Davis of Luther; daughter, Melanie Davis of Luther; son, Gregory Davis of Luther; sister, Barbara Ann (Arthur) Kanaziz of Imlay City; loving granddaughter, Madison Matzella of Luther; nephews, Arthur (Kenea) Kanaziz, Chris (Andrea) Kanaziz, and Charlie (Mary) Kanaziz; nieces, Michele Woodland and Kaitlyn Kiekintveld, and other family in Jacksonville, Alabama, special friends, Denny, Bill Gallup, Justin Greenhoe, Matthew McQuestion, and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vilas and Buna Davis; son, Wilson Davis; sister, Doris West, and brother Jack Davis.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday March 26, 2013 at the Luther Lions Club in Luther, Michigan with Pastor Ken Simmons officiating.
Burial followed at Imlay Twp. Cemetery. A luncheon followed at Logger's Landing in Luther.
