Daughter of James Crumpler and Mae Delle Johnson Lane. Opal married (1) Clyde Thomas Tumblin, and (2) Carl Brailsford McMillan.

MULLINS - Opal Lane Tumblin McMillan, 94, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Heritage Home of Florence after an extended illness.

Mrs. McMillan was born May 3, 1917 in Marion County, a daughter of the late James Crump Lane and the late Madelle Johnson Lane.

She had retired as Head Teller from Davis National Bank after 43 years of service. She was a member of the Mullins Choral Club and the Sweet Adelines. Mrs. McMillan was a member of Mullins First Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Adult Choir.

Mrs. McMillan was predeceased by her first husband, Clyde T. Tumblin, her second husband, Dr. Carl McMillan and a brother, Ted Lane.

Surviving are a son, Tommy Tumblin (Debbie) of Florence; a brother, J. C. Lane (Virginia) of Mullins; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, April 1, at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
