Born in New York, Stanley attended John Adams H.S. He was last of 11 children born to Thomas and Mary Skrzypek. He shortened the family last name and removed the "z."

He was a NYC police officer for seven years, later owned his own business and finally worked for the New York Yankees, back office.

He married in 1952 (widow surviving) and had 3 sons, two of which survive and 5 grandchildren.

He is sadly missed.
