SENA GUNDERSON

Miss Sena Gunderson, 82, active throughout her life in work among orphans, died this morning at the Home for the Aged at Wittenburg, where she had made her home since 1931. Death followed a stroke which she suffered yesterday.

The body will be brought here for burial. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz Funeral Home and at 2 o'clock at the Gjerpen Lutheran church with which Miss Gunderson retained affiliation all her life. Burial will be in the Gjerpen church cemetery. The Rev. Marin Trygstad will officiate.

Miss Gunderson was born at Manitowoc Rapids on October 31, 1858, and lived the early part of her life in this county. She moved to the state of Washington, and became matron at the Parkland Orphan Home there. Later she was on the staff of the Orphans' and Old Folks' Home at Stoughton, Wis.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Ole Stephenson of Manitowoc, and several nieces and nephews.

Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
