James Byron Heath, age 84, of Okeechobee, FL and Jamestown, IN passed away March 16, 2011 at Raulerson Hospital in Florida.
He was born February 18, 1927 in Advance, Indiana to Frank and Verla Heath. Mr. Heath proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Indiana. He was a retired farmer in Boone County.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy Walker (Michael) of Greensburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and loving companion of fifteen years, Pat Brantley of Okeechobee.
Mr. Heath was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Heath; son, Jerry Lee Heath and brother, Robert Heath.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 22, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.
Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery.
