Wanda L. Prien, of Minden, NE. died on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Bryan LGH East in Lincoln, NE. Wanda was born on April 6, 1931 in Glenwood, IA. to George and Winnie (McDole) Radford.

Wanda grew up in the Glenwood, IA. area and graduated from Glenwood (IA.) High School in 1949. Wanda worked as a telephone operator in Glenwood, IA. On June 30, 1951 she married Hans H. Prien. They moved to Omaha, NE. and then to Minden, NE. in 1967. Wanda worked at Nebraska Savings and Loan for several years. Hans passed away in 1999. Wanda was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and was an American Legion Auxiliary member for 50 years. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing, and being with her friends and most of all her family.

Survivors are: son, Greg Prien of Columbus, NE.; daughter, Michele Garcia and husband, Ray of Altus, OK; grandchildren, Sam Prien and wife, Amanda, Emilie Prien, Aaron Cavanaugh and Mandy Richards and her husband, Les; step-grandchildren, Jenni Svehla and Steph Johnson; two greatgrandchildren, Jackson and Siera; brother, Rodney Radford of Glenwood, IA.; sister, Freda Breeling of Lincoln, NE.; brothers in-law, Ed Sell of Malvern, IA. and Clair Jensen of Columbia, MO.; sisters in law, Mary Lois Radford, Kathy Radford, Marilyn Prien all of Glenwood, IA. and Doris Kusch of Omaha, NE.

Wanda is preceded in death by: husband, Hans H. Prien; brothers, Wayne Radford who died in infancy, Charlie and
Harold Radford and sister, Betty Radford Sell.

Burial was in the Minden Cemetery, Minden, NE.
