Crowley- Leona Mae Marceaux, 91, passed away in a care center in Crowley on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

Leona was born May 8, 1921 to David and Elizabeth Sensat Lejeune in Egan, LA. Leona was a longtime member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Midland, LA, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and crafts. Leona was a self-taught seamstress.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Elnora Duplechin and husband, Calvin of Ragley, Kathryn Gary and husband, Donlean of Morse and Debra Cormier and husband, Mike of Jennings; sisters, Mary Thibodeaux of Egan, June Hupp of Mississippi; brother, Joseph Lejeune of Estherwood; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

Her husband, Edward Marceaux and siblings preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Midland, LA at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 with Father Clint Trahan officiating. Visitation will begin Friday in the church at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Estherwood Memorial Cemetery of Estherwood, LA under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
