FARMER DIES AT AGE OF 49

Clifford Gunderson Succumbs At Home In Rapids

Clifford Gunderson, 49, Manitowoc Rapids farmer, died at the home Sunday. He had been in failing health several months.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Frazier mortuary and at 2:30 o'clock from the Gjerpen Lutheran church, of which congregation he was a member. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Born In Minnesota

Mr. Gunderson was born in Fisher, Minn., in 1887 and moved with his parents to this county when a child. He was educated in schools of the county and later enrolled in the course in Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin.

He married Miss Frieda Sampe of this city in 1916 and located on the farm in Rapids, formerly owned by his father, G.G. Gunderson and prior to that by his grandfather, John Gunderson.

Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Gladys, Bernice and Janet; two sisters, Mrs. George Eisner and Miss Mabel Gunderson, all of Manitowoc.
