ARTHUR E. HALVERSON

Arthur E. Halverson, 71, of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, died early Tuesday morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been taken Monday morning.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran Church, Valders, with the Rev. Jerry E. Moe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Halverson was born April 2, 1888, at Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Christopher and Dora Larson Halverson.

He married the former Anna Fuhripp in 1934, in the Town of Liberty, Manitowoc County. She died in 1957.

Mr. Halverson was stationed with the infantry in France during World War I.

He was a lifetime member of Gjerpen Evangelical Lutheran Church and was engaged in truck farming most of his life.

Survivors include two brothers, Oscar of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, and Stanley of Oshkosh; a sister, Mrs. Etta Smith of Manitowoc, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Berge Funeral Home, Valders, after 3 p.m Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church until the hour of service.
