Country Musician. Considered one of country music's legendary acoustic bass players, he played on Hank Williams' last session, which included the song "Take These Chains From My Heart", "Kaw-liga" and "Your Cheatin' Heart". He also worked with country music figures such as Cowboy Copas, The Louvin Brothers, Eddie Hill, Wanda Jackson, Roy Acuff and many others. Noteble for playing on the Everly Brothers "Bye, Bye Love" and "Bird Dog", he worked extensively on the Grand Ole Opry in the 1950s and 1960s. He also recorded a comedy album entitled "Don't That Blow Your Hat in the Creek".
