George Amberson was a retired safety engineer for the Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company in Miami, Arizona. He moved to Arizona in 1913, moving to Bisbee from Texas. He then moved to Phoenix in 1921 and after spending a year in Phoenix, moved to Miami where he worked for 15 years as a safety engineer. He was forced to retire due to illness in 1950 and returned to Phoenix. He was a former member of the YMCA board in Miami and also a member of the Globe Masonic Lodge. He was also active in civic affairs in the Globe-Miami area.
