Mr. Erickson was born March 16, 1928 in Valders, son of the late Raymond C. Erickson and Frances W. McNamara Erickson. He was reared and educated in Valders, graduating from Valders High School in 1947. A sergeant first class in the U.S. Army , he served in the Korean Conflict from 1950 through 1952 Mr. Erickson spent most of his life in Manitowoc county and was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include a son, Gerald, and three daughters, Patrice, Kelleen and Tari Anne, living at home with their mother, Dorothy Erickson of Manitowoc, and three other daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Sheryl) Garza and Shelley of Manitowoc and Joan of Two Rivers; his mother, Mrs. Frances Erickson of Manitowoc; a brother, Richard C. Erickson of Shakopee, Monn.; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Louise) Blashka of Manitowoc; six grandchildren, Chris, Jon, Melissa and Jason Garza and Lisa and Tammy Niemojuski; a special friend, Mary Royer and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 5 p.m to 9 p.m. Sunday, where a wake service will be at 6:30 p.m. by Father Zimmer.
