Death Comes Unexpectedly at Madison on Wednesday
Mathew Lewis, 53, Valders died unexpectedly yesterday after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 from the home and at
10 o’clock from St. Mary Church at Clarks Mills with Father F.X. Kheil officiating.
Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Lewis was born in Denmark on August 7, 1881. He married Louisa Gerl on
April 2, 1916 in this city. He was living in Valders since 1928 and was employed
by the Valders Lime and Stone company.
Survivors are the widow, one daughter, Anna Marie at home; seven sons, George,
Alvin, Gerhardt, Eugene, Edward, Lloyd, John Francis, all at home; two brothers,
William, Manitowoc and Jacob; two sisters, Mrs. K. DeKeyser, Green Bay, Mrs.
O. Leist, Bloomington, Ill.
