Whitelaw Man Fatally Striken While Driving
A father and son fishing trip to the harbor piers here Friday ended fatally for the former.
John Linsmeyer Sr., 69, of Whitelaw, retired Cato farmer and town official, was striken at the wheel of his car on Waldo Boulevard Friday morning while driving it from his home. He pulled the car over to the curb and his son got behind the wheel and started for the hospital, but then decided to summon an ambulance. Linsmeyer died shortly after admission to the Holy Family Hospital of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Andrew Linsmeyer of New London, a relative, will officiate.
Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery at Clarks Mills.

He was born in Franklin, Oct. 9, 1884, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Linsmeyer.
He married Miss Anna Remiker in 1906. They located on a farm in Cato. He serviced for a time as town treasurer of Cato and was employed part time by the Quarry Riverside Telephone Company. Mr. and Mrs. Linsmeyer retired two years ago and moved to Whitelaw.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Bernard of Casper, Wyo., Victor of Sheboygan and John Jr. of Whitelaw; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Zahorik of Cato, Mrs. David Carlson of Silver Lake and Mrs. Lester Shimek of Whitelaw; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Remiker and Mrs. John Haas of Manitowoc; two brothers, Frank Lensmeyer of Kellnersville and Michael Lensmeyer of Reedsville and ten grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Reedsville Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
