Russel Lutzke, 47, of 131 Wilson St. Valders, died Saturday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been in poor health, suffering from a heart
ailment for four years.
His father, Otto Lutzke, 73, had died a day earlier at his home near Valders.

Russel Lutzke was born February 1, 1917 at New Holstein, the son of Otto and Emma Lindemann Lutzke. He was married to Marcella Schad October 11, 1941 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.

He was a painting contractor in the Valders area for 23 years and was a member of the Painters Union of Manitowoc. Recently he was supervisor of a resale shop
of Holiday House, Manitowoc. Mr. Lutzke was a former member of the Valders volunteer fire department, the Valders Lion Club and the Elks Club of Manitowoc.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Otto Lutzke, Rt. 2, Reedsville; four daughters, Sandra, Kansas City, Mo., June, a student at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Barbara and Gail, both at home and a sister, Mrs. Donald Riegelmann, Birmingham, Mich.

Funeral serices will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Farley Funeral Home, Valders and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church, Clarks Mills with the Rev. Henry Arens, pastor, the celebrant of the requiem Mass. Burial will be in the
church cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Farley Funeral Home.
The rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock Tuesday evening.
