JOSEPH F. MANLICK

Joseph F. Manlick, 78, of 1215 S. 13th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Manitowoc County Hospital where he had been a patient for a month. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. Henry Arens will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Manlick was born July 6, 1885, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Frank and Magdolina Dederick Manlick. He married Mathilda Heinzen June 13, 1911, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz and the couple farmed the homestead at Cato Falls. They resided there until 12 years ago, coming to Manitowoc. Mr. Manlick served many years on the Cato School Board and was a member of Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. They observed the golden anniversary of their wedding in 1961.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Kleman of Manitowoc; three sons, Frederick of Manitowoc, Edward, of Milwaukee and Roman, of Rt. 2, Reedsville; three brothers, John of Auburndale, Wis., Louis of Arpin, Wis., and Frank of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren and a great grandchild. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock this Friday evening.
