Mrs. Margaret McGuire, 74, of 718 South 21st Street, died early Friday
evening at the Holy Family Hospital. She recently submitted to an operation.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the home of George
McGuire of Cato, a son, and at 9:30 from the St. Mary Catholic Church at
Claims Mills, with interment at the church cemetery.
Mrs. McGuire, nee Margaret McCarthy, was born in the county in 1866 and
in 1885 was married to Richard McGuire. They moved to Nebraska to locate
on a farm in that state. After a few years, they returned to Wisconsin and
purchased a farm in Cato. Mr. McGuire died eight years ago. Three years
ago, Mrs. McGuire moved to this city. She was a member of the Christian
Mothers of the Clarks Mills congregation.
Survivors are three sons, George and Charles of Cato, William of Milwaukee
and six grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the Pfeffer Funeral Home
after 7 o'clock tonight and will be moved to the George McGuire home in
Cato Sunday morning.
