JOHN A. PRITZL (d. 1966)

John A. Pritzl, 81, of Clarks Mills, died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a short illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. Henry Arens will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Pritzl was born Dec. 27, 1884 in the Town of Cato, son of the late Michael and Catherine Koerner Pritzl. He married Caroline Bohman in 1912 and she died June 6, 1918. July 14, 1924 he married Mary Strauss and the couple farmed in the Town of Cato until October, 1964, when they located at Clarks Mills.

He was a member of Holy Name Society and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and was a past president of Catholic Knights Branch 126 of Clarks Mills.

Surviving are his wife, nine daughters, Mrs. Edward (Agatha) Leist of Reedsville, Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Oswald of Whitelaw, and Mrs. Bernard (Marie) Schermetzler, Mrs. Roger (Anna Mae) Cornils, Mrs. David (Geraldine) Brouchoud, Mrs. LeRoy (Eunice) Beilke, Mrs. Robert (Monica) Herzog, Mrs. Ronald (Kathryn) Krupski and Mrs. Howard (Suzanne) Zimmerman of Manitowoc; six sons, Othmar, Norbert, John and Edward of Cato, Paul of Manitowoc and Donald of Richmond, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Tuschl of Manitowoc and Mrs. John Meyer of Medford; 43 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A daughter, a brother, three sisters and two grandchildren preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home where at 8 and 8:45 o’clock this Monday evening the Rosary will be recited by the Holy Name Society, Catholic Knights and the parish.
