Bernice E. Pritzl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor, age 87, of St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 16231 Hilltop Road, Reedsville, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born Feb. 14, 1916 in Grimms, daughter of the late William and Anna B. (Morrisey) Cummings. She was married Nov. 28, 1935 to Arthur A. Pritzl at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, St. Mary's Christian Mothers Spociety and Reedsville Senior Citizens Association.

She is survived by her children; six daughters, Bernita Meidl, Reif Mills, Mary Lou (Tom )Rolland, Milwaukee, Judith (Tom ) Hughes, Tucson, Ariz., Beverly Markvart and special friend, Larry Vanne, Manitowoc, Virginia (David) Thompson, Appleton, Kathryn (David) Lich, Wrightstown and two sons, Anthony (Mildred) Pritzl, Shorewood and Thomas (Gina) Pritzl, Menomonee, Mich.; three sisters, Alyce Cummings Lemberger, Lenora Cummings Typner and Ann Maria Cummings; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: Kevin (Norma) Meidl, Christoper, Lauren, Kim (Jeffrey) Meidl Elliott; Nicole, Spencer, Skyler, Erik (Susan) Meidl; Katherine, Laura, Sarah, Joseph, Sr. M. Mikela Meidl (Bridget), Arthur Blaha, Ellen (Robert) Blaha McDermott, Nicholas (Julie) Rolland; Coleen, Natalie, Timothy Rolland, Jeffry Rolland, Heather (Mark) Markvart Books; Calder, Brad Markvart, Chad Thompson, Courtney (Michael) Thompson Rude Jr., Stephanie Thompson and Jefferson Lich; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; Veronica (Pritzl) Voss, Elmer and Julia Pritzl, Lawrence and Dorothy (Pritzl) Kubale, Marcella Cummings and Bernadette Cummings.

Mrs. Pritzl was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a daughter, Nancy (Pritzl) Blaha; one grandson, Dominic Meidl; three sisters and five brothers-in-law: Lucy and Ed Tikalsky, Lorraine and Victor Kapinos, Joseph Typner, Erwin Lemberger and Myrtle Cummings; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert, Raymond and Lenard Cummings, Michael and Mildred Cummings and a son-in-law, Kenneth J. Meidl. Also preceded are sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and Walter Lashua, Louis and Lucille Pritzl and Earl Voss.

Funeral Mass will be held (Today) Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clarks Mills. The Rev. James Jugenheimer will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Weiting Funeral Home of Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
