Mrs. Gilbert Rappel, 72, of Rt. 2, Reedsville, died Friday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Reedsville Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills, the Rev. Henry Arens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Rappel was born Emma Tuschel Feb. 11, 1888, in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Schmidt Tuschel. She was married to Gilbert Rappel Sept. 28, 1915, at Clarks Mills, and the couple settled on a farm at Rt. 2, Reedsville, where it lived since.
He preceded her in death July 5, 1959. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Joseph of Brillion, Robert at home, and Edward of Ypsilanti, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Pozorski, Marion and Mrs. Edward Shimek of Manitowoc; three brothers, Edward of Whitelaw, Anton of Rt. 2, Reedsville, and John of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Marcus Tuschel of Madison, and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
