Marcella M. Riederer, age 80, formerly of Cato, died Monday evening October 25, 1999 at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 1999, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Rev. John Conrad will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

The former Marcella Stelzer was born May 2, 1919, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late George and Mamie Hanek Stelzer. She attended St. Patrick School, Maple Grove. On January 18, 1947, Marcella married Isadore Riederer, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Marcella had worked at the Mirro Company prior to her marriage. The couple farmed in the town of Cato until 1975, and moved to Valders in 1988.

Isadore preceded her in death on May 22, 1991. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Marcella was a Gold Star Mother, former member of the Marian Council, former member of the Kubale-O-Connell V.F.W. Post #6179 Auxiliary of Cato, and in the past was active with the Manitowoc County Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles (Elaine) Riederer, Gregory (Suzanne) Riederer, Mark (Colleen) Riederer, all of Cato; 13 grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Sara, Charles Jr., Carl, April, Katrina, Josephine, Greg Jr., Katie, Scott, Ashley, Carmen; two brothers, Lawrence Stelzer, Roman Stelzer, both of Taus; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law include: Beverly Riederer, Fond du Lac, Edwin Lau, Collins, Marion Bartz, Newton, Jeanette Novak, Reedsville, Esther (Joseph) Krejcarek, Janesville, Lydia (Edward) Paul, Manitowoc, Raymond Zaruba, Maribel. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl, one grandson, Jason; two infant brothers, six brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
