Suggested edit: John T. Riederer, 72 of Whitelaw,died Thursday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Richard Heyman will officiate with burial at St. Mary Cemetery, Clark Mills.
Mr. Riederer was born June 3, 1904, in the Town of Cato, son of the late Blasius and Mary Pritzl Riederer. He married Hilda Tuschel May 4, 1927 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The couple resided at Whitelaw the last five years. He was assistant postmaster at Valders for 10 years, fieldman for Valders Canning Co. for 15 years and retired in 1971 from the Salvatorian Center, New Holstein where he was employed for 12 years. Mr. Riederer was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5539 of Kiel, the Holy Name Society of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Senior Citizens of Whitelaw.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John G. of Kiel; four brothers, Bernard and August of Manitowoc, Robert of Two Rivers and Ed of Rt 1, Cato; three sisters, Mrs. Ed (Theresa) Wallander of Manitowoc, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Remiker and Mrs. Ervin (Nora) Denk of Manitowoc and three grandchildren, Mark, Jane and James Riederer.
Two infant sons preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home after 4 o'clock this Friday afternoon and Saturday until the time of service. A Rosary will be conducted at 8 o'clock this evening by Father Heyman and the Holy Name Society.
