Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
and 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry Letz will
officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Clarks Mills where the Rev.
Henry J. Arens will conduct graveside rites.
Tyson was born Aug. 15, 1879, at Chilton, son of the late William and Bridget
Smith Tyson. He married the former Barbara Tilger Sept. 23, 1919, at Chilton
and the couple lived there for several years before moving to Valders where he
was employed for 25 years at Valders Lime and Stone Co. Upon retirement in 1948
the couple moved to Manitowoc.
Survivors include the wife; four daughters, Mrs. William Fischer of Rt. 4,
Manitowoc, Mrs. Richard Buchner of Milwaukee, Mrs. Robert Kretsch of Manitowoc
and Mrs. Merlin Lintner of Gillett, Wis.; son, Joseph E. of Manitowoc; two
brothers George of Chilton and Frank in Michigan; sister, Mrs. William Colter
of Superior, Wis.; and 25 grandchildren. A daughter, Marion, preceded him in
death in 1934.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the Rosary will
be prayed at 8 p.m.
