Funeral services for Harold Anthony Wallander, 18 of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, who was
electrocuted in an accident near his home Saturday morning, will be at 10am at Christianson
Funeral Home, Valders, and at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. A
concelebrated Mass will be offered by the Revs. Leander Nickels, Henry Arens of
Shawano and Edward Witczak, rector of Sacred Heart Seminary, Oneida. Burial will
be in the church cemetery. Mr. Wallander was born February 27, 1950, son of Mike
and Pauline Zipperer Wallander. He was graduated from St. Mary Parochial School,
Clarks Mills, and from Sacred Heart Seminary in 1968. He enrolled at the start of the
current second semester at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Manitowoc County
Campus. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Knights of
Wisconsin. Survivors include the parents, eight brothers (names omitted for privacy),
four sisters (names omitted for privacy), paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Wallander Sr. of Rt. 2, Reedsville, maternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Zipperer, of Whitelaw and a great grandfather, Blasius Riederer, of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home where at 8 o’clock this Monday evening the
Rosary will be recited.
