Monday morning, Feb. 16, 2009, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
She was born on May 10, 1944, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Raymond C.
and Clara (Vesely) Wallander. Janet was a graduate of Reedsville High School,
class of 1962. She was employed with various manufacturing companies in Manitowoc,
retiring in March of 2008. Janet also took great pride in caring for Justin and Jessica
Wallander.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Raymond
and Ellie Wallander; Al Wallander; Mary Ann Luckow; and Pam Wallander; and two
nephews: Greg Wallander and Mark Haupt.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at St. Mary Catholic
Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev.
David Zimmerman, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills,
from 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Janet's name to the Cancer Care Center
in Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Baatz, the staff at the Cancer Care
Center, and the certified nursing assistants at Sacred Heart Court, Manitowoc, for their
compassionate care and support given to Janet and her family.
