: Raymond C. Wallander Jr., age 61, a native of Reedsville, Manitowoc County, died Saturday morning, February 24, 1996, at his residence in Schofield, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, February 27, 1996, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Rev. John Conrad will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the church cemetery, Clarks Mills.
Raymond was born January 12, 1935 in Reedsville, Manitowoc County, son of Clara Vesely Wallander and the late Raymond Wallander Sr. He graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1952 and serviced in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957. He married the former Ellie Ross in 1980 in Green Bay and the couple settled in Schofield after their marriage. Raymond was an electrician by trade working for various companies. He was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Ellie Wallander, Schofield; his mother, Clara Wallander, Manitowoc; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Wallander, Manitowoc, Donald and Betty Wallander, Two Rivers, Kenneth and Charlotte Wallander, Cato, Al Wallander, Legend Lake, Wis.; two siters and one brother-in-law, Diane and Henry Behnke, Manitowoc, Janet Wallander, Manitowoc; one step-son, Jeff Ross. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
