Clarence J. Wallander, 80, of 17128 Hilltop Rd., Reedsville, died late Tuesday afternoon, January 18, at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reedsville Funeral Home, Reedsville and 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Conrad and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wallander was born Jan. 18, 1903 in the Town of Cato, son of the late Joseph and Katherine Remiker Wallander. He married Beatrice Krizenesky Oct. 8, 1930 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville. He farmed in the Town of Maple Grove until his retirement. Mr. Wallander was a charter member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice, two sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Pauline Wallander of Valders and Paul and Barbara Wallander of Route ? Reedsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Gordon Braun of Whitelaw; a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Sherman Lorrigan and a sister-in-law, Clara Wallander of Manitowoc, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A son, a grandson and a brother, Raymond preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Reedsville Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday until the time of service. A parish vigil service will be 7:45 p.m. Thursday followed at 8 p.m. by a Holy Name Society Rosary.
