Of Vienna, VA died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Born and raised in St. Paul, MN, he was the son of the late Edward and Martha Hane, Sr. He was the beloved husband of Gladys Hane; father of Gary Hane (Chrissy), Julie Wallace (Michael), Joanette Chamberlain (John), Elizabeth Drexler and Edward Hane, III (Katrina); grandfather of Crystal Munson, Jennifer Braun, Nathaneal Munson, Johnny Chamberlain, Robert Hane, Pilar Drexler, Maximilian Drexler, Nicholas Drexler, Shaheen Hane, Adam Hane, Kylie and Kassie; great-grandfather of Aurora and
Mathew Braun. Col. Hane was passionate about his family, friends, church and country, serving his county for 56 years in the Air Force and in civil service. The family will receive friends at MONEY & KING FUNERAL HOME, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, April 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 7426 Idylwood Rd., Falls Church, VA 22043 on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Lutheran Social Services.
