Thursday morning at 3 o'clock occurred the death of Marshal Albert Mouw, after a short illness.
Last week Thursday he still did his usual work, but was suddenly attacked with pneumonia and pleurisy. Sunday a nurse was called.
Albert Mouw was born Aug. 19, 1882, on a farm north of Orange City. When 8 years old his mother died.
In 1904 he married Miss Helen Japma (sic). Five children were born to them.
He leaves bereaved his wife and children, all too young to understand their loss: Anna, Willemina, Lester, Donald and Alma, and his sisters Mrs. K. Tersteeg and Miss Gertie Mouw.
He assisted our drayman for many years. Six years ago he became marshal, which position he has filled ever since. The funeral is being held this afternoon.
