Syvilla Eisenbrown Jolley, 96, formerly of New Sewickley Township ( Freedom ), passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in the Rochester Manor Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 21. 1903, in New Sewickley township, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Steele Eisenbrown, she was a member of the Freedom United Methodist Church; Freedom American Legion auxiliary, and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Jolley Sr., in 1976; two brothers, Herbert and Daniel Eisenbrown; two sisters, Dorothy Black, in 1993, and Beatrice Bott; a son, Charles H. Jolley Jr., in 1978, and two grandsons, Richard Hanner and Jeffrey Mayles.
Surviving are a son and two daughters-in-law, Bernard K. and Claudette Jolley, Coudersport, Pa., and Ruth Jolley, Brookville, Pa.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Leona and Willford Mayles, Palm Springs, Calif.; Mary and Robert Gahles, Chippewa, and Marcella and William Barnes, New Sewickley Township; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where a service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Jayne Verner, officiating.
Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
