Rudolph C. "Rudy" Dominguez, 56, of McKinney, died Jan. 12 at North Central Medical Center. He was born Dec. 29, 1948, in Dallas to Epolito and Helen (Cervantes) Dominguez. On Aug. 26, 1972, he married Carmel Onesma Garcia in McKinney. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in McKinney. He was also a member of LULAC.
He is survived by his wife, Onesma Dominguez of McKinney; children, Alma Garza and husband, Ramiro of Wylie, David Rosales of McKinney, Marcela Guerrero and husband, Damian also of McKinney; grandchildren, Sweetie Sandoval, Cyndi Rosales, Desiree Guerrero, Cecilia and Analiza Guerrero and Marcos Garza; brothers, Ernest Dominguez of Plano; Paul Dominguez of Stephenville, David Dominguez of Dallas, and Domingo Dominguez of Forney; sisters, Mary Helen Martinez, Mercedes Rangel and Rosie Aguilar all of Dallas and sister-in-law Gilda Garza.
He was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 15 at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Steven Bierschenk officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
