For over 30 years, Mrs. Teague worked for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp., serving as the school secretary at Mount Healthy Elementary most of that time. She attended Westside Community Church and was a former Girl Scout leader.
She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her group of special girlfriends. Her girlfriends and Judy would do different types of crafts and all kinds of fun things together, and some of them became her caregivers later in life.
Mrs. Teague loved animals of all kinds, she loved basketball, especially IU basketball, and she had a passion for rooting for the underdog, not only in sports, but in all walks of life.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Born in Hazard, Kentucky, March 12, 1946, Mrs. Teague was the daughter of Charles S. and Dean Wright Combs. She married Fred B. Teague June 27, 1964. He preceded her in death May 16, 2009.
Survivors include a son, W. Shane (Lisa) Teague of Columbus; a daughter, Suzanne (Steve) Tansel of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Eli, Luke, and Olivia Teague; brothers, Bob (Lorraine) Combs of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Chip (Polly) Combs of Michigan; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mrs. Teague was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
