Mr. Leka was a member of First United Methodist Church, a 58-year member of St. Paul's Lodge No. 500 AF&AM, Springfield Valley Scottish rite; Springfield Chapter No. 1, Royal Arch Masons; Springfield Council No.2, royal and Select Masons; Elwood Commandry No.6, Knights Templar;and the Ansar Temple.
He ws a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and a member of Theta Chi fraternity. For over 40 years he was a civil engineer with the Illinois Highway Department Bureau of Materials. Mr. Leka was also a member of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers and the Illinois State Employees Association.
Surviving is one daughter, Penny Leka Knapp of New York, N.Y. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
