Mr. Gregory and his brother E. H. (Edward Hull) came to Alexandria Virginia from New York sometime after 1850. They were both in the heating and Ventilating business, during the civil War, Hamilton also had a restaurant in Alexandria. in 1861 Hamilton came to Washington. Mr Gregory had many of the contracts for furnaces for the public schools.
He WAS A Mason and knight Templar.
