Erwin N. Schwoerer, 54, of 1425 Viebahn St., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Andre Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. James R. DeWitt will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Schwoerer was born July 18, 1920, at Cleveland, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Rosina Bachaus Schwoerer. He married Edna E. Neuhaus Oct. 18, 1941, at Sheboygan, settling at Manitowoc after their marriage. Prior to his employment at Friederics City Bakery the past four years, he had been employed at Sorge and Lake to Lake dairies. He was a member of U.C.T. and past president of the Silver Creek Fire Dept. For the past 11 years he served as treasurer of the Town of Manitowoc and also served on the Manitowoc County Board for four years.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, a daughter (names omitted for privacy); two brothers, Herbert, of Cleveland and Joseph, of Sheboygan; and four grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
