Services Held for William Anker
Funeral services were held Saturday for William Henry Anker, 77, a lifelong resident of Elmwood Township, who died Wednesday, Nov. 20, [1974], at Caro Community Hospital.
He was born June 5, 1897, son of the late Henry and Agnes McDonald Anker.
He married Miss Frankie Beckett in Caro, Nov. 26, 1924.
He was a member of the Gagetown United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his widow; one son, Don of Bay City; one brother, Nelson of Cass City; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Loomis of Bad Axe, Mrs. Belle Lash of Troy, and Mrs. Howard (Gertrude) Evans of Lake Orion and four grandchildren. One son, Dean, and two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted from Little's Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Amstutz, pastor of the Gagetown United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment was in Elkland Cemetery.
