Ilene E. Pederson, age 81, of 12508 Cty. Rd. JJ, Cato died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center Manitowoc County, Two Rivers.
Ilene was born June 26, 1930 in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of the late William and Erma (Luloff) Dedering. She was a graduate of Kiel High School, Class of 1948. On February 24, 1962 she married Donald Pederson at St. Peter UCC in Kiel. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2003
Ilene worked at Lake to Lake, Shady Lane Nursing Home and help run the family farm. She was a member of the Women's Quilters and an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Ilene enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and raising chickens.
Survivors include her three sons and one daughter-in-law: Daniel Pederson, Fond du Lac; James Pederson, Cato; Robert and Susan Pederson, Valders; two granddaughters: Taylor and Kristin; one sister: Betty Kandler, Oshkosh; two nieces and a nephew: Karen Overton, Renata Bacon and Ken Kandler, all of Oshkosh. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Ilene was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Holm Pederson and Ernest Kandler.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Kay Richter with burial at Gjerpen Cemetery, Cato. The Christianson and Deja Funeral Home, Valders.
